Rockstar Games is expected to bring back some beloved features from earlier titles in the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6. Popular YouTuber @LegacyKillaHD, who frequently covers the game,

recently shared some thrilling updates for fans of the classic 2004 title, San Andreas. In a post on X, he mentioned that Rockstar is looking to incorporate the basketball minigame into GTA 6, although he also noted that the game’s story mode will be shorter than that of Red Dead Redemption 2.

He expressed a bit of frustration, saying, “Think I’m about done reporting GTA 6 stuff on here that I’ve heard or providing insight. One game I wish I didn’t know so much about.”

LegacyKillaHD further revealed that while the main story mode of Grand Theft Auto 6 will be “shorter than Red Dead 2,” it will still feature the usual chaotic missions, with some elements inspired by the “Fast & Furious” franchise.

The game is huge, packed with tons of side activities and sprawling landscapes filled with countryside and towns. While the main storyline is said to be shorter than that of Red Dead Redemption 2, it revolves around a central theme of criminals navigating their lives and dealing with family issues. It seems like a more down-to-earth narrative, but there’s still plenty of the wild, over-the-top action we expect from missions. Some rumors even suggest that certain missions might take inspiration from the Fast & Furious franchise, including a chase scene reminiscent of the vault heist from Fast 5

As for the truth behind these claims, only time will reveal what’s accurate. Currently, there’s no way to confirm any of this, and it seems unlikely that Rockstar Games will break their silence on the matter. If they do decide to share any updates, we’ll make sure to keep you in the loop.

A recent rumor about GTA 6 suggests it might not quite measure up to Red Dead Redemption

2. The anticipation for Grand Theft Auto VI is off the charts, making it not just the most-awaited video game but possibly the most anticipated entertainment release ever. With all this hype comes a lot of pressure and expectations. So, if you’re hoping for GTA 6 to be the biggest and most endless game ever, it might be a good idea to temper those hopes a bit. While it’s shaping up to be Rockstar’s most ambitious project yet, the campaign may not actually be the longest they’ve ever produced, according to the latest buzz.

He mentioned that the basketball minigame was being developed at the Toronto studio but was nearly cut from the project by the end of 2023.

If basketball makes a comeback in this installment, it would mark only the second time in the series that players can engage in the sport, following its introduction in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Earlier this year, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, announced that the game is set to launch in Fall 2025, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more information.

Since the reveal trailer dropped on December 4, 2023, there has been a noticeable lack of updates, with no new screenshots or trailers released by the studio or its parent company.
